Ride through the regal landscapes of Rajasthan on a motorcycle journey that takes you across 2,000 km of heritage, culture, and desert charm. This tour weaves through majestic palaces, forts, and Havelis, visits iconic destinations like the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve, Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, and culminates at the timeless Taj Mahal. From sweeping Thar desert dunes to lush oases, the journey is rich in color, texture, and tradition. Experience Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, and hidden gems where time stands still. Ride past bustling markets, ancient camel routes, and luxurious palace hotels hosted by the descendants of Rajasthan’s royal past. While some days involve long rides—up to 330 km—the tour is suitable for any competent road rider. Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive in DELHI
We will meet you at Delhi Airport and transfer you to your Hotel. Because fellow group members may be arriving on different flights, we will wait to meet the fellow group members on the next day at the breakfast table and the staff at the dinner table.
Day 2
DELHI – MANDAWA (260 KMS / 5 – 6 HRS)
An early rise for breakfast, Today we drive in a small minibus to Mandawa past the airport and on into Rajasthan on the main national highway 8, before our turnoff and onto the back roads from Rewari through small Rajasthani villages and farms, heading for the capital of the Jhunjhunu district and on to our first amazing desert hotel. The hotel was formerly one of the palaces of the Maharajas of Jaipur, set in a small village in the middle of the Shekhawati sand dunes. Post lunch we’ll hold a briefing to cover safety precautions, touring style, road conditions, and check of personal equipment, with time to select our bikes and become familiar with starting procedures, control layouts, and bike handling. Today we have a trial ride around our Hotel.
Day 3
MANDAWA – BIKANER (190 KMS / 4 – 5 HRS)
We start the day with a brief visit to Mandawa Haveli, then we surprise peacocks and wild camels as we continue our run through the heart of the Rajasthan outback and end the day at a palace on the outskirts of Bikaner, in the sand dunes of the Thar Desert. We take an afternoon ride to the Bikaner Palace Museum for a glance at the opulent historical past of this once wealthy trade route center. The castles that were built by the Rajas in the desert outposts were intricately carved sandstone buildings called Havelis. Combined with impressive fortress defense structures, they created elaborate palaces.
Day 4
BIKANER – JAISALMER(310 KMS / 5 – 6 HRS)
Post breakfast in the palace gardens, it is a full day in the saddle as we ride through small villages set among desert oasis with deep blue vast open skies above to the horizon of golden sands. Wild camels and caravans of gypsies drift by as we are virtually alone on the roads through the desert.
Day 5
AT JAISALMER.
Post breakfast we will visit the Jaisalmer walled city center and ancient markets, past fantastically carved sandstone Havelis to the famous Jain Temple. In the evening we ride to the Sand Dunes to see the sunset.
Day 6
JAISALMER – JODHPUR (290 KMS / 6 – 7 HRS)
For our ride to one of the world’s best-known fortresses Jodhpur, we head south through the sand dunes to an ancient temple complex called Osiyan for a visit and fast lunch on our way to the fascinating desert city of Jodhpur, dominated by the Maharaja’s hilltop fortress called Maherangarh.
Day 7
JODHPUR – RANAKPUR – UDAIPUR(250 KMS / 5 – 6 HRS).
We start the day riding further to Udaipur the city of Lakes, en-route visiting the famous Jain Temples of Ranakpur.
Day 8
AT UDAIPUR.
Post breakfast we will visit the City Palace and the Sajjangarh Fort.
Day 9
UDAIPUR – CHITTORGARH – BUNDI (300 KMS / 6 – 7 HRS)
We start our ride to visit the Largest fort in India and further to a small town of Rajasthan which is famous for its charming Havelis.
Day 10
BUNDI – RANTHAMBORE(140 KMS / 4 – 5 HRS)
Today we will ride to Ranthambore national Park famous for being the second largest fort in India and the Royal Bengal Tigers. This evening we will join the jeep safari to get a glimpse of the most elusive of big cats, the Royal Bengal Tiger. Our naturalist guide takes us through the reserve by jeep in search of the tiger, and many more species of jungle wildlife encountered along the way. If there is one tiger reserve in India where you are most likely to spot the big cats it’sRanthambore.
Day 11
RANTHAMBORE – BHARATPUR (190 KMS / 5 – 6 HRS)
Post breakfast we ride the narrow backroads through small villages and temples set in green jungle valleys to the Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary at Bharatpur.
Day 12
BHARATPUR – FATEH PUR SIKRI – AGRA (60 KMS / 2 – 3 HRS)
We rise early to walk or bicycle inside the bird sanctuary to see the birds. After visiting the birds and having breakfast we continue further 60 Kms to Agra en-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri. Today is the last day of our ride.
Day 13
AGRA – DELHI.
Post breakfast visits the Taj Mahal & Agra Fort. Drive back to Delhi. Arrive in Delhi by late evening, transfer to your hotel.
Day 14
DELHI
Transfer to the Airport to board the flight back home.
